This year 12, Aussie musicians, under the guidance of Canberra's Oliver Hague and linguist Rosy Lazzari, travelled throughout Cuba taking part in daily workshops and evening concerts with top line Cuban bands and musicians. All 12 returned to Australia determined to return to Cuba. All were inspired by the level of music education and an appreciation of music throughut the blockaded island.
In March/April 2012, another, bigger contingent will take part in another musicians' work-study tour. The visitors will take in Havana, Cienfuegos, Camagüey, Bayamo and Santiago de Cuba. Apart from the music, everyone will learnto dance the rhythms of the Son, Rumba, Bolero - and more. All this for around $1,200 per person. The price covers all accommodation, inter-city transport in Cuba and numerous visits to places of cultural interest. For the gamut of information, contact: oliver.hague@bigpond.com .
