Cuba's School of Latin American Medicine - ELAM - has been training new generations of doctors in social medicine - people from very poor and disadvantaged communities who commit to returning to live and work in those same commuities - and is now well established in Venezuela since the Cuban Venezuerlan Medical collaboration through the ALBA people's trade treaty. For some time north american stud...ents have been studying a different, people centred medicine in Cuba - and now some wonderful news for our mob is that applications are open for scholarships for Indigenous students to pursue medical studies in Venezuela - please watch the attached and share this news, fully funded scholarships to study medicine in the new, humanist model which is so much closer to our mobs way of doing things - brilliant!!! VIVA VENEZUELA, VIVA CUBA!!!!! Lara Pullin, via Dr Tim Anderson
